I am John Waller from Mystic, CT. I have been writing songs for 30 years, but on the day that Donald Trump was inaugurated, I said to anyone listening, this is like Trump: The Opera, and I wrote down the scenes of the First Act in my Evernote.

Fast forward one year, and as it kept getting worse, I was inspired to channel my anger at was was happening into something that might prove useful to the country. Make no mistake, the purpose of this show is to lay bare the fact that this is the most corrupt and self-serving administration I’ve ever observed and to encourage others to stand up and put their talents to work to make certain this man is not re-elected in 2020!

I dedicate this creative work of art to my mother, Janice, who is in the last phase of her life. She is a political animal and she HATES everything about Trump, what he does, what his administration is doing, and it is her dream that he be ousted, sooner rather than later. It is likely that she won’t be around to see this show performed for the first time, but it is my sincere hope that her spirit will guide this show into the future.

The majority of this work was written during the last six months of my mother’s – Janice Waller-Brett – life and is dedicated to her spirit of patriotism and civic duty. My mother was a political animal and the only thing that really pissed her off was how badly Donald Trump has been fucking up what America stands for: the rule of law, protection of the disadvantaged at home and around the world, and the belief that America’s role in the world is as the moral leader to oppose the forces of despotism and authoritarianism. I would read/play these songs for her, and as she grew weaker, I picked up the pace, completing the final number on the day of the night that she passed. It is our hope that the end for Trump will come at or before his first term has been completed, so let’s do this y’all!
